How to create and fund a Metamask wallet to use it on OVAL3

1. Download Metamask

• For browsers, we recommend MetaMask browser extension. You can install it as a plugin for Chrome or Firefox.
• For mobile, we recommend installing Metamask app, available for Apple and Android.

2. Setup a wallet

To create a wallet you just have to follow the procedure on which you have to choose a password and store the secret backup phrase given to you.

3. Connect to Matic Network on Polygon Blockchain

• Switch the connected blockchain by clicking on the tab saying « Main Ethereum Network », we need to add the Matic network.
• Scroll down until you find Custom RPC.
• Enter in the Matic Mainnet settings as follows:

Network Name: Polygon

New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com

ChainID: 137

Symbol: MATIC

Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/

• Click Save.

You have now connected to the Polygon / Matic mainnet with your Metamask Wallet!

4. Fund your wallet

1. On the mobile app and Extension, head to your wallet homepage and find the blue ‘Buy’ button in the center of the screen. On Extension, this button will redirect you to the Portfolio Dapp. If you’re on the Portfolio Dapp already, head to the ‘Buy’ tab.
2. If you’re a first-time user, you must select your region, which will generally default to your current location. If you’ve used this feature before, MetaMask skips this step and uses the region you selected last time.
   From the drop-down menu, search or scroll until you find the country where your payment method (card/bank account) is registered. US users will then be able to select their state. If your region is not currently covered by at least one of our provider and payment method combinations, we’ll let you know at this point. You can read more about other ways to purchase crypto here.
3. Select your payment method and choose from Apple Pay/Google Pay (this will adjust according to your device), debit/credit card, PayPal (US only, excluding Hawaii), and bank transfers (with the mechanism adjusted according to your region, KYC details, and currency: e.g. UK Faster Payments, ACH for the US, Pix for Brazil, and SEPA for Europe). Make sure you’re comfortable with the estimated duration and payment limits detailed next to each option.
4. Select the MATIC token, using the You want to buy menu at the top of the screen.
5. Input your preferred amount, i.e. the value (in fiat) of the token you want to buy.
6. Choose your quote. After a brief wait, you’ll see the quotes available based on your preferences. They’re arranged in descending order based on how much crypto you receive, with the best-value option at the top. Pull down from the top of the screen to force refresh the quotes.
   When you pick a provider, you may have to complete KYC if you’ve never used their service before.

5. Connect your wallet to OVAL3

Once your wallet is funded with MATIC, connect your wallet to OVAL3.

1. Go to the OVAL3 marketplace
2. Connect with your Metamask wallet.
3. Complete your account with an email address and choose a username.
   In case you already used your email address in another account, choose another one or add +1 before @ (example: johndoe+1@gmail.com)
4. Click on “Authorize Bidding” at the top right corner of your wallet.
5. Click on “Convert your MATIC to wMATIC” and exchange your MATIC for wMATIC.
   ⚠️You must keep some MATIC to pay the transaction fee (a few cents) and have wMATIC to bid.
